Dr. Terri Adams-Fuller
is an Assistant Professor of Administration of Justice in Howard University’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Prior to joining the faculty at Howard University she worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of Public Safety and Crime, the Institute for Crime Justice and Corrections, and the American Sociological Association. Dr. Adams-Fuller’s research takes a multidisciplinary approach to examining issues that have both theoretical and practical implications. Her specific research interest includes policing, emergency management, crime mapping, and domestic violence. Her most recent work centers on the decision making processes of both individuals and organizations. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Adams-Fuller has served as a research consultant for a number of agencies and non-profit organizations including: the Metropolitan Police Department, the Johns Hopkins Division of Public Safety Leadership, the Prince George’s Center for Youth and Family Research, the Fraternal Order of Police Metropolitan Police Labor Committee, and the Urban Institute.
