Tom Kirsch, M.D., is a PACER investigator with extensive disaster field experience and co-director of the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response.
Many centers and institutions collaborate closely with
PACER on disaster planning and preparedness research and
James Scheulen, P.A., M.B.A., was the primary investigator
on PACER's Electronic Mass Casualty Assessment and Planning
Scenarios (EMCAPS) V2.0 project.
PACER provides a number of educational programs to foster
expertise in the science of disaster medicine and disaster
preparedness, including our Summer Scholars Program, which seeks
to foster opportunities for students to work closely with
recognized top subject matter experts in conducting research that
will further the science of preparedness.
